Congratulations to Miss Arizona 2011, Jennifer Sedler!

Well its done, we have a new Miss Arizona and one I'm very proud to call my friend and sister in the pageant system! It was wonderfull performing on stage and rubbing shoulders with her! I know that all that went down this week happened for a reason and I'm extremely happy with the results! I made some wonderful friends! We have 16 wonderful girls representing there cities, towns and counties in Arizona! The future is in good hands! Who knows what the future holds for Danielle McBurnett, Felicia McGee, Andrea Malinski, Richelle Harris, Katelyn Niemic, Vanessa Sircy, Tiffany Hilburn, Rebecca Hasulak, Melody Knudson, Chelsee Moe, Mary Ann Schrulowitz, Kyra Batte, Kathryn Clark,  and Brittany Farrar but I know there future is bright! All great girls with lots of drive and motivation to make a difference!

I had a very eventful, exhausting week! It started out at Crackers and Company where we had our sign in dinner and I signed my face on accident! It kind of became my trademark because every person's program that I signed, I ended up signing my face! At Crackers we were supposed to act like we were one a sunset cruise and Miss Arizona, Kathryn Bulkley was the captain and dressed up super cute! All these pictures are on the website so I am telling you people, look at the website! http://www.miss-arizona.org/!

Well monday we started learning all the choreography for our production numbers! We went to Wagners Dance studio in Gilbert for that! Good times! I accidently ripped a whole in my black shorts one of the days because I was dancing so hard! haha That is saying something right?! haha We got to go to amazing jakes, Phoenix Children's hospital and many wonderful restaurants that sponsored the Miss Arizona Organization!
My dad bought my John Deere stool so I have that back now!  My interview with my judges went really well. They asked me lots about being a member of the LDS church and about Mitt Romney. I felt I answered quickly and with exactness. I have no regrets at my week at Miss Arizona and am extremely greatful for the support that I have received through out my reing as Miss Arizona. This is not a one man job and I'm so greatful for my Parents, Ann Ellsworth and many others who have stepped up to the plate to be my supporters and helped me endure to the end of my year! I"m so excited to be Miss Graham County for a couple of more months and hope to make the best of it! I leave in July to start teaching my NCA camps and I"m super stoked for that! The theme this summer is Rockin' with NCA! I literally get to be a ROCKSTAR this summer! Dream come true:) I'm excited to make new friends and help cheerleaders all over Arizona have a successful year as Captains and leaders of there school as Cheerleaders! I know being a cheerleader has taught me many things! Well this is all I have for tonight! God Bless everyone nad have a wonderful week! My quote of the day is, "Those who make the best of the way things turn out are the most successful!" May we all make the best our circumstances in life, whatever they may be! Come what may and Love it!
Good night!
These are some videos of songs I performed too! Good times!

May is for Miracles and FLOWERS:)!

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
Hi, it's me Leisel Innes!
You probably already know that I’m very involved with the Miss America Organization, but you probably didn’t know that I’m also working closely with Children’s Miracle Network to raise funds for local children’s hospitals. The Miss America Organization has teamed up with Children's Miracle Network to help raise money for children’s hospitals in communities throughout the United States. My personal goal is to raise $350.00. The money I raise will benefit both Children's Miracle Network and the Miss America Scholarship Fund.
I invite you to help me touch the lives of sick and injured children by making a secure donation today. If you want to see the impact of your donation and who it will help, take a moment to view some of Children’s Miracle Networks incredible miracle stories by click here. These are just a few stories out of millions of kids who are helped by Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year.
Thanks so much for your support and for helping me make miracles happen!

April-Child Abuse Awareness Month!

Pray-Jill and Koby!
APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH! Child abuse is any mistreatment or neglect of a child that results in non-accidental harm or injury and which cannot be reasonably explained . Child abuse can include: physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police. If you suspect child abuse, contact your local Child Protective Services Department. For crisis counseling, call ChildHelp at 1-800-4-A-CHILD.

Red Sky-Ryan Innes

For those of you who know my brother Ryan Innes he wrote a song called Red Sky which talks about how people who have been in Abusive situations are in a Red Sky and us people in a Blue Sky have nothing to worry about. People in a red sky long to be in our blue sky but they never will be! Listen to his song above, its a very emotional and moving song!

For those of you who you don't know this month is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month! Blue represents Child Abuse therefore I am typing in blue! My sister Jillian and I got to be a part of the annual Child Abuse Awareness convention that when on this month at EAC. A big thanks for Cindi Alva and all she does for this community! She is the primary contact person for Healthy Families America and contacted me to a guest speaker at this event! The above link is my sister Jillian who sang the song Pray by Justin Bieber with Koby Alva. Its a very good song and is so true! I gave a speech on some issues I have had with friends in the past year who have dealth with Abuse and how they dealt with it. Its a nasty thing and people really need help to deal with it! Abuse comes in more ways then one! But the cool thing is is that there is hope! People can fight through there hard times and come out stronger! I've watched people do it in front of my very own eyes! It's amazing!

Here are some link to learn more abuse Child Abuse Awarenes and how to get involved!

If any of you have any ideas or ways that you have tired to bring an awareness of helped with Child Abuse prevention I want to know! I want to hear how you have helped and how I can get more involved and help! We are the voive for these people! We're in the blue sky that they long to be!

Spring Break-A time to refocus and prepare!

Hello my advid followers of my blog! Its sunday therefore I will be blogging again! I have been on spring break for a week and its been a wonderful break for me! We all need time to rejuvenate and take times for ourself so we can refocus and gear up for this rest of this semester! I'm pretty sure I would of had a break down before the end of this semester without a break in between! I got to go dress shopping for Miss Arizona this week! I'm so excited about the dress that I picked out! It's not the final one but It definetely is a catch! Which ever dress I decide to wear I know I'm going to be modest! I'll be posting some pictures of my dress so you can all give your opinion of what you think! I also go to go to the Miss Tempe pageant! Congratulations too Rebecca Hasulak who won! She did  a ballet redition too El Sha Dai and it was beautiful! She did a wonderfu job! I'm extremely proud of every single girl who got up on that stage and tried out! It takes alot of guts to get yourself up in a swimsuit, put a talent together, do public speaking and have an opinion of the world! Congrats to all who competed and anyone who has ever competed in a pageant! It is a ton of work!

My tip of the week is something I have been learning lots about lately! There is this wonderful lady named Carol Tuttle who has started a business and self help organization called "Dressing Your Truth."
She has a website called http://www.dressingyourtruth.com/

If you’ve ever felt defeated in a dressing room, faced a closet full of clothes but still felt you had nothing to wear, or thought you had to be skinny to be beautiful, Dressing Your Truth will be a much-appreciated reality check that will help you discover and celebrate your own, unique beauty.

This website will give you the confidence to become you're own beauty expert!

Every woman has the chance and opportunity to be beautiful!

Carol has many myths about the fashion styles of the world today. She has 7 of them actually and I wanted to post some of her videos on here!

Women around the world believe they no longer have what it takes to be beautiful. And it’s no wonder. Fashion designers and merchandisers have created a mysterious world of ever?changing trends and styles that preys upon the insecurities of the “everyday woman.”
The truth is — You possess an abundance of natural beauty within yourself, and I guarantee that my unique Beauty Profiling System will help you to display it for the world to see.
My system is an amazing resource that will show you how to…
  • Feel confident in the way you dress and style yourself
  • Improve the quality of your life and relationships…
  • Embrace your greatest qualities and most beautiful gifts…
  • Express your beauty instead of diminishing it…
  • Feel a sense of empowerment when shopping…
  • Appreciate your body, age and natural features…
  • And much, much more!
Check my FAce book page for her videos! Sign up to start learning about the truth of your inner beauty and the lies the world is trying to tell you!

Inspirational Story/Quote of the Week!

Hello Friends and Family!

I have decided to start sharing inspirational stories and quotes on here on a weekly basis! I have been posting everything that has been going on in my life but I have not always posted what I am doing with my platform as Miss Graham County! I have had some amazing experiences and some life changing expierences for that matter! It's almost 3:00 in the morning and I can't sleep so her I am Blogging!! woo hoo!! My mind is wandering and thinking alot and I feel that I need to share my feelings!

So First things First, I wanted to Post 10 Tips to Running with Angels

1. Take time to rejuvenate yourself-physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  You, as well as others around you, will be much better off!

2. Rearrange your priorities.  How high does "taking care of myself" rank? Is it time to move it toward the top?

3. Devise a plan and hold yourself accountable.

4. Replace bad habits with good ones.  Rejoicing in even the small but positive decisions you make will lead to significant progress over time.

5. Take responsibilty for the decisions you have made. Learn from your poor choices, then move on!

6. Record measurements and feelings.  They will show you just how far you've come! (Maybe start a blog like me?)

7.Think more positively.  You can soar on the wings of an optismistic attitude!

8. Uplifting music can be an incredible motivation. Listen to my brother or my sister!;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vts-HnuJHh4&NR=1  <<<Click this link to listen too Ryan Innes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVom3BISdwg           <<<<Click this link to listen too Jillian Innes

9. Express gratitude for heavenly and earthly angels! What can you do to lift someone else and ease their burden? Some suggestions to look for ways too help others is to check out the
http://www.missamerica4kids.org/ or http://www.makeawishfoundation.com/ which sponsors the National Cheerleaders Assocation

10. Learn from life's lessons. Instead of asking "Why Me?" ask "What can I learn from this experience?

I feel to invite women everywhere to rise to the great potential within you.  I do not ask that you reach beyond your capacity.  I hope you will not nag yourselves with thoughts of failure.  I hope you willl not set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve.  I hope you will simply do what you can in the best way you know.  If you do so, you will witness miracles come to pass.

Savannah and her DAD!
Hello! Yes its Sunday and another week has gone by! Therefore I have lots to write about and things to share my feelings on! Well I only went to school for half of the week because the other half I was on Music Tour for the Music Department here at Eastern Arizona College! I am involved in the A Capella Choir and EACompany so it was a really fun trip! We traveled to 7 different highschools which include Cactus HS,  Mesa HS, Washington HS, La Joya Community HS, Buckeye HS and Desert Ridge HS. It was really fun and a great experience. I love going on tours because it gives you a change to get to know people and bond with them.  I definetely felt like I made some new friends and bonded even more with the friends I already have! The tour was wednesday  through friday so we left wednesday morning at 5:30 and had our first performance at 10 that morning.  Talk about not having a break! We had two performances wednesday, three on thursday with a community performance and fed dinner at La Joya Community High School.  Friday we had two performances witht the last one being at Red Mountain High School which I think was my favorite for lots of different reasons. It was my favorite because it was more personal then the others because it wasn't in there auditorium that we performed for them but It was in there choir room so it was alot more up close and personal. The last song we sang for EACompany was Can't Help Falling In Love and there is a part where we run forward and sing our little hearts out to the audience and when I ran forward and ran to the second row and grabbed this boys hand and started singing to him and started blushing really bad and then continued to put his arm around his girl friend! haha Oops.. my bad! But it was really fun and then My earrings like flew out because I was moving and shaking my head so much..It was quite hilarious I must say. Definetely out of character and Dr. Bishop never told me what he thought but I enjoyed it thoroughly and people told me it was funny to watch.. so whatever haha! I was planning on going home with Julianne Lewis and her family afterwards so I could stay with my sister Sarah but I decided to just go home. I wanted to stay with my sister Sarah because her daugher and my neice Savannah was getting baptized the next day! Well i went home and went to a sweet Dodge Ball Tournament that was going on down at the Institute which was pretty intense! I then woke up 6 the next morning and drove to Maricopa for my neice Savannah's baptism! I literally balled my eyes out the whole time and just could feel the spirit the whole time! I'm so greatful to have such a strong family and a sister who has set such a good example to me as a mom and as a person! I got to lead the music and it was cool because all the little kids were sitting on the front row just singing there little hear  out! I'm so proud of my little savannah and the choice she made on saturday to be baptized! I gave her a necklace with a cute charm thats CTR so hopefully she will always remember!
While I was on my tour I found out that my sister Jillian is a contestant in the Gila Valley Idol Contest! Woot Woot! Go Jill! I"ll post a video for all of you to see! So the Video doesn't want to update but check out http://mysouthernaz.com/index.php?Page=gilaidol/2011/_idolvideo.php and you can find her singing!

I will for sure post some pictures!

Next Item on the list! I got be the special guest at a Gila Valley Rotary Club meeting! It was super intimidating because some big wigs from the area were there but I think I did ok. My Public Speaking skills are getting better and better everytime I speak at a convention like this! Thanks for the opportunity Rotary Club! You do lots for this community!

My last story is No Big Deal! I just got In a car accident this weekend and rolled. Don't freak out. Obviously I'm alive I"m typing and writing this story for all of you to read about it! So here It goes!
"It was a friday evening when I got a text from a TON of my EAC friends about this sweet STUNNA SHADE party/slash Bonfire that was going on out at the Red Knolls! WOOT WOOT! Sounds super exciting and fun huh! Yeah I thought so too! My mom told me she didnt have a good feeling about It but I went anways! I arrived at the Howards place where I met up with all my awesome friends! Logan Daynes, Matthew Bair, Tim Howell, Travis Luevano, Levi Butler, Shannon Griggs, Jocelyn Shaver and company!!! We all hung out at Logans for awhile and then decided to head out there. I first asked Logan if I could ride with him but there wasn't enough room in his car so I rode in Shannon Griggs car with her, Jocelyn Shaver and there friend Victor from SV. We went to arbys first so Shannon let Victor drive so she could eat her Dinner! We got arbys and then headed out to Red Knoll's which is like past pima on your way to Fort Thomas! WE missed the turn off for Red Knolls and shortly after that a Cop pulled us over! We were freaked out and didn't really know why. We were not speeding!  Well we all quickly pulled on our seatbelts of course! We wanted to look like we were being safe! He just told us that Shannons back light was out and that she needed to replace! NO BIG DEAL right?! He must have been inspired because as the stories rolls forth this cop literall saved our lives! Well we turned around and got on to the road out to red knolls. Victor started having a little too much fun in Shannon's car and got going a little too fast. We went over a bump and he lost control of the car and started sliding everywhere. He over corrected and we literally ramped the barbed wire fence that was next to us! Everything was quiet for a little bit and then we all started yelling to see if we were all ok! We all soon realized that we were all ok just hanging upside down in a jeep with our seatbelts on. Soon enought there was banging on our windows and my friends had come to our rescue! They one by one got us all out of the car and we all sat on a blanket that they pulled out of the back. I went through alot of different emotions! While hanging upside down in this car I was literally laughing... I didn't know what else to do. I soon realized I probably shouldn't be laughing and then started crying.. Talk about an emotional roller coaster! I started realizing how crazy it was that I was standing outside of this car now with not one scratch, bruise, or battle wound to prove that I had even been in the accident! I quickly grabbed my bag out of the back and started walking around. They literally had to tell me three times to sit down. I became very quiet and just sat there as the polise, EMT and the ambulance came to our rescue. I felt an over whelming sense of peace that my heavenly father was in control and that everything was going to be ok. People were a little worried because I was so calm and quiet. On  both sides of me were my friends Shannon Griggs and Jocelyn Shaver who were hurting and were taken care of by the EMT's and the Paramedics on the ambulance. Soon enough they were both put on stretchers, transferred too the Ambulance and I rode with them too the hospital. Another thing is in the middle of all of this I called my mom because my dad wouldn't answer and all I could tell her before my phone died was that I was in a wreck out by red knolls but that I'm ok because I was wearing my seat belt! She freaked out called my dad and started heading out towards Red Knolls. My dad calmed her down and told her just go to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital and It was such a relief to see my dad! He had such a worried look on his face! I had to go through some interview with a nurse and was quickly released by the hospital. I went and found my friends Jocelyn and Shannon too make sure they were alright. I was completely over whelmed by the many friends who came to visit me and the concern that they had for me and my health. All three of us were released from the hospital that morning. Shannon has a concussion, Jocelyn has a beautiful neck brace and I am just me! I wasn't hurt at all! It truely was a miracle! I have angels on my side and I can feel them! None of these incidents this night were a coincidence and I know that that is true. It all happened for a reason and I"m glad it happened the way it did! Word to the wise, Listen to your insticts and to your inner self and conscience, never fall in to peer pressure and also remember Mama knows best!
